Whether you are a parent or a coach, you need to know that many athletes–yes, boys too–struggle with body image. For some, it leads to eating disorders.

Today’s podcast guest is a young woman who fought an eating disorder for 10 years because of her low self-esteem and body image. She was an athlete the entire time. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a short post introducing her struggle.

imageKayla Powers, 27, is now a lifestyle and fitness coach, and worth listening to because she’s gone through the struggle. If you want to contact her with questions or ask for her help, you can reach her at mrskaylareneepower@gmail.com or follow her on instagram at Kaylareneepower.

Is your teen struggling to have success in sports? Besides dealing with body image, here are 22 more ways you can help them achieve that success!
