It may be early for some of you to start thinking about college for your kids. If that’s the case, I’d encourage you to still listen to what these two former NCAA athletes have to say. They talk about college, scholarships, and what’s the most important thing for you as parents to remember as your child plays sports.

Julian Richard and and Jess Cinnamon of Arising Athletes, are both former NCAA athletes who played sports on scholarships at New York Institute of Version 2Technology. Julian was a baseball player, Jess was a softball player, and when they graduated college they decided they wanted to help parents and young athletes learn everything there is know about getting an athletic scholarship. Jess and Julian know that the  recruiting process can be quite confusing for parents so they do their best to explain each and every step in their weekly video blog. These guys also have big hearts as they just started a charity called “Play To Prosper” that helps underprivileged kids get involved in organized sports.

Even if your kids are young, if you have any inkling at all that their sports passion may be around for a long time, you will want to hear what Jess and Julian have to say.

Please be sure to check out the details on how you can help spread the positive in youth sports with my new book 11 Habits of Happy and Positive Sports Parents.
